In Person Therapy

This is the most common and traditional type of psychotherapy. It involves working together in a face-to-face setting. During our sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to share what’s on your mind and explore what’s going on for you. Some clients find that being physically present in the same room helps them to feel safe and allows for deeper conversations, especially when they are new to therapy. In person therapy is also the most common type of therapy.

My in person sessions take place in Naas, County Kildare.

Walk and Talk Therapy

Walk and talk therapy involves the therapist and client doing therapy together while walking side by side in a park, by a lake, or other public outdoor space. Being outdoors can help to reduce anxiety and makes it easier to express thoughts that may feel difficult to voice in a more formal setting. Walk and talk therapy may be especially beneficial for clients who enjoy nature or those who are neurodiverse.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is one of the most effective and widely used approaches for addressing a range of issues such as anxiety and depression. It involves identifying unhelpful thought patterns and associated behaviours. During our CBT sessions, we’ll explore how your thoughts affect your emotions and develop practical strategies to challenge and reframe them. We’ll also work on building skills that you can apply in everyday life.

Online Therapy

Online therapy is the same as in person therapy except that it is done using secure video platforms such as Google Meet, DoxyMe, or Zoom. It is just as focused and private as in person sessions but offers the flexibility and convenience of engaging in therapy from the comfort of your own home. Many clients find online therapy to be a great option if they are commuting, dealing with childcare responsibilities, have health conditions that limit activities, or are living in rural locations.

As with the other forms of therapy, we’ll work together to address your goals and challenges using the same tools and techniques that I apply in face-to-face therapy. Throughout our work, I’ll ensure that the technology we use is secure and that you feel fully supported during our sessions, with the goal of achieving the same progress as you would in an in-person setting.
